Honestly I never really think about LJ anymore. But since I got nudged:
Blaze is a happy and obnoxious 4 year old. He's reading and learning a little piano (just the Gravity Falls theme song but it's a start). In the fall he'll start preschool because he's on the wrong side of the cutoff to start kindergarten.
Amber is an adorable and sweet 2 year old. She's learning to use the potty. Knows her alphabet and some counting. She loves to dance and sing.
Both kids love Paw Patrol and Parry Gripp songs. A LOT.
Jeff's still doing his same contractor job in the semiconductor industry. He's always awesome. Still a good husband, still a good dad. :)
My adventure in surrogacy has come to an end! On December 6th at 11:18pm after 31 hours of labor, I gave birth to a little boy named Hunter. His dads are so very much in love and they're such a cute family. They went back to LA the weekend after the birth. I have been pumping milk and mailing it to them (and donating some).
The labor was long and terrible. Hunter was posterior right up until he popped out, which made everything hurt beyond description. I was begging for a cesarean section, just so he would get out! He finally flipped the right direction but his hand was over his face, making it even harder to push him out. He was born nearly 5 days past his due date (December 2nd) and he was only an ounce lighter than Blaze, 8lbs 14oz. And 22 inches long, probably thanks to the 5'9" egg donor.
So yeah. They're a happy little family. My heart is really happy that I could help make that happen.
Anyway, all is well. Life is good. I do look forward to when the kids are in school and I can rejoin the work force. I just don't have a lot to update on otherwise. No major life changes.
Um.. we got a new roof and painted the exterior "TARDIS blue." Yay. Angel and Demon kitty are still just hanging out, being kitties. I can't remember if I said before, but Stripey kitty passed away a couple weeks before Amber was born. She was a good, sweet cat.
How is everyone else doing? :D
